Lilly turned one on Friday the 13th. It's hard for me to believe that she's one already! Mike's parents got here a day before her birthday and enjoyed the party with us. We had a few friends over, nothing to exciting or crazy. Lilly did well with her cake, not only did she make a huge mess, she ate most of it, a girl after her mother's own heart!
I made her cake, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

Lilly and Jocelyn. Jocelyn is Dawson's little sister and is almost exactly 6 months younger than Lilly. I'm so happy she has friends.
Daddy helped her open a couple presents. I think Dawson did more opening though, he had practice at his 2nd birthday part last week.
She was quite intrigued by the candle.
She started out very prim and proper with just a finger in the icing...
...and by the end she was COVERED. (not sure why I put the bib on her)
What Lilly does at 1:
- says bye bye, kitty, and uhoh and ma ma
- walks around furniture and stands, no walking on her own yet.
- crawls like a speed demon
- waives, claps, and rubs noses, and my personal favorite wrinkles her nose.
I think she's right on track for a one year old.
A very pretty cake, and little girl :-) Great that Mom and Dad could make it out there. Looks like lots of fun
